Pakistan: In a shocking incident, a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's social media team, Sanam Javed, was allegedly kidnapped by unknown men in broad daylight here in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as per the reports of police.
According to the reports, she was allegedly stopped by five people on a busy road in Pakistan's Peshawar Red Zone at around 10.40 pm. The miscreants forced her into a vehicle and took her away, as per police.
After the incident, an FIR was registered at East Cantonment Police Station on Tuesday on the basis of the complaint by Javed's friend.
As per reports, Police said that at around 10.40 am on Monday, five people allegedly stopped PTI leader Sanam Javed on a busy road in the Red Zone area of Peshawar. After this, the accused forcibly took Sanam Javed into their car and took her away.
An FIR was registered at the East Cantonment Police Station in Peshawar on Tuesday on the basis of a complaint lodged by Sanam Javed's friend. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has ordered an investigation into the incident. PTI described the incident as a serious violation of law and order and said that such acts raise questions about law and order in the city. He asked for an an immediate investigation into the case and arrest of those involved in the alleged kidnapping.
Imran Khan's party leaders raised the issue to the social media handle over the alleged kidnapping. Many called on Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to personally intervene into the matter to ensure Sanam Javed's rescue and bring those responsible in the kidnapping to justice.
